Ingredients
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 x 390g cartons Chosen by you Italian Chopped Tomatoes
  • 1 level tbsp mixed dried herbs (or oregano)
  • 5 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • Cooked pasta, to serve
  • Grated cheese, to serve
  • 6 fresh basil leaves, torn, to garnish
Method
  • Heat the oil in a pan and cook the onion on a low heat for 5 minutes, until soft. Add the garlic and cook for a further minute.

  • Stir in the tomatoes, herbs and ketchup. Season with ground black pepper.

  • Simmer, uncovered, for 15 - 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  • Serve with cooked pasta and grated cheese, if using. Garnish with basil, if liked.
