  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 1 red pepper, sliced
  • 400g can Asda Chopped Tomatoes with herbs
  • 450g pack Asda Turkey Mince
  • 50g fresh breadcrumbs
  • 300g spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Soften the onion in 1 tbsp oil add the carrot, pepper and tomatoes. Partially cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Purée, season, then return to the pan.

  • Put the turkey mince and breadcrumbs in a bowl and season. Mix and shape into 20 meatballs.

  • Heat the remaining oil in a frying pan and cook the meatballs until they brown (they don’t need to be cooked through). You may need to do this in two batches.

  • Add the meatballs to the sauce, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.

  • Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti in boiling water for 10-12 minutes. Drain and serve with the meatballs and sauce.
