Enter the season of turmeric.

While we’ve likely all used turmeric to add a dash of flavour to curries and hot pots, the spice is now moving into the beverage sector.

It’s been a busy year for turmeric already; wellbeing gurus have hailed it as the ‘new coconut oil’, praising its reported health benefits.

Pinterest also recently revealed that the golden spice is high on the list of 2016’s most popular ingredients, with searches for turmeric recipes climbing by a whopping 99%, compared with last year. Yes, turmeric is really rather 'fashionable' right now.

So it should come as little surprise that, in search of a flavoursome way to add a warming kick to their teas and coffee blends, people are now experimenting with turmeric in drinks.

In fact, the turmeric latte is fast becoming more popular than the classic pumpkin spice latte. Pinterest has revealed that searches for pumpkin spice latte recipes are down a sizeable 15% from this time last year.
