Here’s how to make marble work in your home

Because things look better when they're set in stone!

Here’s how to make marble work in your home

Whether it’s bedding, wallpaper or mugs, the colourful and stylish marble trend seems to work just about anywhere in our homes.

Not only does it add a timeless look to any room, but the white stone helps to make small spaces appear more open.

Traditionally, when you think of marble you conjure up ideas of a sturdy kitchen worktop, an expensive floor in a posh hotel, or a massive sculpture in a museum. So when we first saw it appearing on catwalks and then onto homeware items like candles and cushions - we were overjoyed!

If you’re obsessed with marble as much as we are, here’s how to make the sleek trend work in your home.

Living room

Whether it's your walls you choose to adorn with marble wallpaper or little candles on your coffee table, there's a way to add a touch of the timeless trend to all aspects of your front room. You could invest in some marble-pattered cushions, add a rug to your home or buy some marble wall prints.

Marble bathrooms, like the ones you get in hotels, always look classy. Whether it's the flooring that's marble, the surfaces, or the walls, the white stone always looks so clean and more than anything - luxurious. But if you're looking for an easy way to incorporate the trend into your home, you could try marble-printed toothbrush holders or soap dispensers.

To introduce marble into your kitchen, invest in some lovely printed mugs, plates and accessories such as a cookbook holder, a chopping board or a marble tea jar.

Adorn your dressing table with marble items such as make-up jars, cosmetic brushes and trays for all your beauty bits. Adding marble prints to your wall and colourful marble throws on your bed or a chair look great too!

Make your office a place where you want to work by adding some life and soul into it. Nail the marble trend by investing in some marble-coloured stationery and accessories such as pen pots, a clock and shelves. The possibilites are endless!
