Homeware trends we can’t get enough of this April

If there was one trend which burst onto the scene last year and is still going strong, it's the unicorn trend.

The trend swept the nation making its way onto all different types of food products

From unicorn toast, which helped brighten up our mornings, unicorn cupcakes, which helped add a touch of magic to any celebration or party, and unicorn-inspired chocolate, which looked almost too good to eat – the trend swept the nation making its way onto all different types of food products.

It also started making its way onto home products like our unicorn and cat-inspired duvet set.

It was only a matter of time before the mythical creature found its way onto another magical multi-coloured creation like this amazing mug

Made from solid stoneware, the mug - which is sure to bring a smile to your face with every use - is also dishwasher and microwave safe, meaning it would be perfect to drink your hot chocolate out of and would bring a touch of magic to your morning cuppa.

But it's not just us who have gone crazy for this magical creation, it seems the rest of the world has too.

Oil slick cutlery

Helping to add a pop of colour and glamour to any occasion is this iridescent oil slick cutlery set. The trend first starting appearing on the scene in high fashion hairstyles with bright flashes of colour being added throughout.

But soon after, the trend, which features a mix of dark, oil-inspired colours, started being used in makeup and now homeware. We love the idea of this statement oil slick cutlery for a dinner party or, better yet, a wedding. Dress the table with neutral tones, then let the cutlery stand out and become a real talking point.

And speaking of talking points, our oil slick cutlery has become the talk of the town with homeware lovers.

After 3 trips we've finally got them #asdaliving #kitchen #cutlery #irridescent
