This autumn, when it comes to the world of interiors, it's all about embracing the dark side.

From deep shades of blue to earthy tints of green, according to Pinterest, these moody hues are the hottest colours trending at the moment. The number of ideas saved in the UK for 'moody hue interiors' are up 150% whilst ideas saved for dark green and blue are up 80% and 100% respectively in the past three months.

But if you're at a loss of how you can embrace these midnight sky-like colours this autumn, look no further. We've rounded up some of our favourite furnishings which you'll definitely want in on. Here's how to make them work in your home.

deep shades of blue

Blue is known for its relaxing and calming qualities, and deep, dark and daring midnight blue especially exudes the epitome of relaxation. But if you're not thrilled with the idea of painting your whole home navy, why not try adding little pops of the colour in and around your house?

From cushions like this navy cord offering or velvet cushion to knitted throws and even little ornaments like this standing fox, it's easy to incorporate the midnight shade into your little homely nest.

Dark tints of green

Dark tints of green are making a comeback and in a big way. So bring the outdoors back in and inject the soothing hue into your interior.

Green is universally the colour of nature, so adding some indoor plants to your shelves, like these copper-incased succulents, is the easiest and quickest way to jump on the interior bandwagon. And trading in your old curtains for these teal-coloured ones will help inject some cosiness.
