How to create the perfect hamper for your mum this Mother’s Day

If you've been racking your brains for what to buy your mum this Mother's Day and haven't yet nailed the perfect gift - look no further. Making your own personalised hamper will go down a treat, and you'll definitely get brownie points for the effort you've made.

Whatever you do this Mother’s Day, don’t forget a card!

Maybe she’s a domestic goddess and loves nothing better than updating her home with cushions, candles and cutlery.

Or, your favourite lady might be a dab hand at baking and enjoys whipping up amazing homemade bakes that could rival Paul Hollywood’s creations.

But whatever type of wonderful woman your mum may be, we’ve got a range of gift ideas which will match her personality.

Just make sure you make your hamper extra special with some pretty baskets, wrapping and whatever you do this Mother’s Day, don’t forget a card!

For the beauty queen

Come March 26th, your mum will be one pampered lady with our range of lovely beauty bits. Give her toes some TLC with this Baylis and Harding trio, spoil her with nspa's 4-step ritual treatments and treat her to a new fragrance. Or And also, don't forget the Progrigio this Mother's Sunday which she can sip whilst she's relaxing in a bubble bath with these beauties!

For the domestic goddess

Help your mum to instantly update her living space with these cosy cushions, which are perfect for those feet-up, cup of tea and Corrie-on moments and help set the mood with some little pot plants and candles. Or, help keep her prized possessions safe with this beautiful trinket box which she'll love.

For the brilliant baker

For all those keen cooks amongst us, your mum's cake creations will look great on this cake stand and these scales will come in handy for making the most perfect bake. And don't forget to grab the necessities - including mixing bowls, scales and measuring jugs*.

You could also whip up an amazing cupcake bouquet (which involves no baking) to place on top of the hamper.

To make, divide ½ pack Asda Vanilla Flavour Frosting between 2 bowls. Stir purple food colouring into one batch and pink into the other, one drop at a time, until you get the right shade. Spoon each colour into a separate piping bag with a star nozzle.

Take an Asda Plain Fairy Cake and pipe on the pink icing – start in the centre and work outwards in a spiral swirl to form the petals. Repeat until you have 3 pink and 2 purple frosted cupcakes.

Roll out Bake & Create Ready To Roll Icing in green to 2mm thick. Use a sharp knife to cut out 5-10 leaf shapes and mark with ‘veins’. Allow to dry then position 1 or 2 leaves on the side of each flower. Line a pretty biscuit tin with crèpe paper, arrange the cupcakes inside and finish with extra crèpe paper, to decorate.

For the film, music and book buffs

There's top tunes, with the likes of new releases like Now That's What I Call Mum, Wonderland and Ed Sheeran's new album, Divide. There's also fab flicks out this March such as the very aptly titled Mother's Day, Bridget Jones's BabyAbsolutely Fabulous, Me Before You, and Bad Moms

For the chocolate lover

Tame her sugary tooth with our never ending range of chocolates. There's Ferrero Rocher to treat her to, Baileys' Mini Delights, Lindt delights to try or our Extra Special Cornish Clotted Cream Fudge. Or why not help complete the hamper with a bar of Toblerone, Green & Black's organic treats and Thorntons Moments which are sure to please!
