5 trends to take you from spring to summer

The sun has got its hat on - and we couldn't be more excited.

Finally, it's time to get ready for the fresh new summer season full of last-minute outfit-finding for barbecues and after work activities. But where do you start when it comes to the new season trends?

From tie-dye must-haves to acid wash denim, we've counted down the top trends to know now.

1. Get trendy with Tie-dye

Who knew this 60s classic would be making a comeback in a big way? Get involved with the laidback trend with chic midi dresses or a wrap skirt you could rock with a bandeau top.

2. Broderie Anglaise

A huge trend in the 1970s, broderie anglaise - a pretty lace-like fabric - is another trend staging a comeback and it's safe to say we're sold. Float through the changing seasons effortlessly in a frilly white off the shoulder blouse, co-ord or dress and team with oversized sunnies and a smile!

3. Pretty pastels

Love colour but prefer a more subtle approach when it comes to injecting some summer-ready hues into your wardrobe? Then you'll be pleased to know that candy-coloured pastel shades are trending for summer. Swing into the new season with pretty pastel dresses and rock with gold-toned ear candy.

4. Acid wash is hot right now

Where would we be without our trusty pair of jeans? Well, this season you can still make this fabric work for you, just make sure they're of the acid wash kind. These shorts are ideal for the beach, lazy walks around new cities or last minute plans.

5. The wave of all white

What other colour screams summer? Go head-to-toe in white for a super chic look which you could team dressed up with heeled sandals or down with trainers.
