How to ensure you’re properly dressed for the release of Rogue One

We're not talking a suit and tie

How to ensure you’re properly dressed for the release of Rogue One

When you pitch up with the kids, or with your friends, to see the much-anticipated first stand-alone Star Wars film, Rogue One, at the weekend, you don't want to be under-dressed.

Don't worry, we're not suggesting you deck the whole family out in bow ties and evening dress - we're talking something far more exciting: Star Wars fancy dress

There are loads of brilliant costumes and toys available at George that are worthy of even the greatest Jedi Masters - or, if you prefer, Sith Lords.

Younger Star Wars fans will love getting dressed up as their favourite character to go and see the film - or, if you don't fancy trailing a group of mini-rebels and stormtroopers down to your local multiplex, they can just wear their outfits on Christmas day, and beyond, instead .

Here's all the inspiration you need if you and your family want to celebrate the new Star Wars launch in style.

For the rebels

Let them play the hero with these Rey and Finn costumes, inspired by the main characters from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

All they need then to take on the Empire is a handy droid and a lightsaber

For the rebel pilots

This replica X-Wing Fighter Pilot costume lights up when the 'pilot' makes contact with rebel command. It also comes with a pilot's mask.

However, the X-Wing is not included. Sorry.

Who doesn't love playing the baddie?

Although these children's Darth Vader and Kylo Ren costumes are way too cute to be scary (although the Darth Vader outfit does come complete with the iconic breathing sound effects!)

Chewie and the Stormtroopers

It may sound like a great name for a band, but, of course, Chewbacca and the Stormtroopers have some of the best outfits in the whole galaxy.

And little Chewies will be delighted to know the costume does come with growling sound-effects.

For grown-up Jedi

Older Jedi Masters needn't feel left out, as most of these costumes -plus a Princess Leia one - also come in adult sizes. We're sure there will be lots of people queuing to see the first showings of the film in full costume too.

Love them, you will.
